Lacks the typical too-tight-feel of flatwounds. Also, lacks the typical diminished sustain. This thing is fully comfortable, gentle to the skin, without losing much of the roundwound quality. I will see how it ages, in a year. Hopefully, it stays on my P bass even for a decade. I dont plan to change it at all.

Ez az új kedvencem, már másodjára választom ezt a húrkészletet. Nagyon tetszik, hogy a világosabb, fényesebb hangszínen és teljesen letekert tone gombbal is jól szól, az átmenet is kigyensúlyozott a két hangszín között félúton és annál lejjebb tekert tone-nal is kellemes a hangzása. Emiatt lett az új kedvencem. Egy Precision bass-en használom és jól passzol hozzá ez a húrkészlet. Stílusban jól megy a blueshoz, funkyhoz, rockhoz. Nagyszerű választás.

Pont jó feszességre, hangja új korában is isteni. Csak akkor cserélek szettet, ha elszakad.

Have a set on for a year and only got another one as spare. Great price here! Best flats I ever played (followed by DR Legends and Thomastiks). Consistent tone for months, if not years. Not too bright even just out of the box. You can get tones from modern punchy to vintage thumpy, just changing tone knob and right hand position/technique. I know that string makers say that for every set but in this case it's true! And all that with the amazing feel of polished flats. Work well with effects too. I would put them above Thomastiks as they have a bit more tension and sound less 'dead'' in the long term. They are close to DR Legends but higher score for reliability (DR snapped on me, and it was the A string!). Don't bother with crap like flats from Daddario, Rotosounds, GHS. Ernie balls are too bright for my taste, and not as smooth. Haven't tried Labella
