Joyo DC-15S Modeling Combo Amp — Portable Practice Power with Built-In Effects

The Joyo DC-15S is a 15W digital modeling combo amplifier built for guitarists who want a single box for practice, busking, and content creation. Nine amp models, six effects, a 30-second looper, and a 36-pattern drum machine fit inside a compact 250 × 190 × 230 mm cabinet. A rechargeable lithium battery removes the need for mains power, while Bluetooth streaming and a dedicated recording output feed audio straight to a phone. This model is the right choice for players who want amp modeling, rhythm backing, and live-stream connectivity in one portable unit.

What Sets This Combo Apart in the Modeling Category

Most practice amps in this tier offer modeling and a few effects — the DC-15S adds a 30-second onboard looper, a 36-pattern drum machine with tap tempo, and a dedicated TRRS recording output for direct-to-phone capture. The included footswitch handles preset recall and looper control, while Bluetooth 4.0 streaming and a dual-speaker configuration round out the feature set.

15W Class D Power and Dual-Speaker Output

Class D amplification drives a two-way speaker system for surprisingly loud output from a compact enclosure.

• Output Power: 15 W RMS — enough volume for solo practice and small jam sessions
• For robust sound, the unit features a 5.25" woofer (4 Ω / 20 W) and 2.5" tweeter (8 Ω / 15 W), providing a much fuller frequency response than standard single-driver practice amps.
• Amplifier Topology: Class D — efficient operation that supports the built-in lithium battery

9 Amp Models, 6 Effects, Looper, and Drum Machine

Nine voicings span acoustic, JC Clean, Clean, Overdrive, Blues, Crunch, Lead, Rhythm, and Metal, while six digital effects cover Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Delay, and Reverb.

• Amp Models: 9 voicings (Acoustic, JC Clean, Clean, Overdrive, Blues, Crunch, Lead, Rhythm, Metal) — fingerstyle acoustic through high-gain metal in one unit
• Digital Effects: 6 (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Delay, Reverb)
• Looper & Drum Machine: 30-second looper plus 36 rhythm patterns with tap tempo — self-contained practice and performance toolkit without menus or sub-menus

Bluetooth, Footswitch, Recording Output, and Rechargeable Battery

Bluetooth 4.0 streams backing tracks from any phone or tablet, while a dedicated recording output feeds audio directly into iOS or Android devices for clean live streams.

• Bluetooth: 4.0 — wireless streaming of backing tracks
• Recording Output: Dedicated TRRS port (iOS 1 kΩ / Android 4.7 kΩ) — direct-to-phone audio for live streaming and video
• Footswitch: Included, single-button — controls preset recall and looper start/stop/overdub
• Battery: 11.1 V / 4.4 Ah lithium, rechargeable — approximately 1–3 hours of cordless playtime per charge
• Dimensions & Weight: 250 × 190 × 230 mm, 4.2 kg

Who Should Buy This Amplifier

This unit is the right choice for guitarists who want a single amp for home practice, busking, and live-streamed performances without juggling pedals. Beginners benefit from preset recall and the 36-pattern drum machine, while intermediate players get nine amp models and six effects covering most genres. Content creators route audio directly to a phone, and traveling players will appreciate the rechargeable battery and Bluetooth backing-track streaming.
